Terms of Use

The rules of the service, written to be understood. By using Walo you accept what is here.

Last updated: July 29, 2026 Applies to: the Walo app for iOS and Android

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Benjamin Barocio, an individual who develops and distributes the Walo application under the trade name Tomin Labs ("we"), with address at Av. Revolución 2703, Ladrillera, Distrito Tec, 64830 Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. By downloading, installing or using Walo you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Walo. If you are a minor in your country, you need the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. What Walo is and isn't

Walo is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a financial institution, not a bank, does not hold your money, and does not provide financial, tax, accounting or investment advice. The summaries, charts and projections you see are calculations over the information you entered, offered for informational purposes only. Any financial decision you make is your own. For important decisions, consult a licensed professional.

Walo also does not connect to financial institutions or import transactions automatically. All information is entered by you, and its accuracy is your responsibility.

Walo does not make payments on your behalf. Due-date reminders are informational alerts that depend on the dates you entered and on notifications being enabled and permitted on your device. They do not replace your own oversight: we are not responsible for a late, missed or duplicated payment, nor for any resulting fees, interest or consequences.

3. Licence to use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Walo on devices you control, subject to the rules of the store you downloaded it from. No ownership rights in the app are sold to you.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the app.
  • Decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
  • Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app.
  • Remove proprietary notices, trademarks or attributions.

4. Your account

To use Walo you need to create an account with your email, with Google or with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access.

The information you provide must be your own. An account is for personal use; do not share it.

5. Free plan and limits

Walo can be used free of charge indefinitely. The free plan has limits: up to 2 accounts, up to 5 categories created by you (in addition to the built-in categories), 1 budget template, and history browsing limited to the last 3 months.

We may adjust these limits in the future. If a change affects you significantly, we will give reasonable advance notice inside the app.

6. Walo Pro subscription

6.1 Price and billing

Walo Pro is offered as a monthly or annual subscription. The applicable price is always the one shown by the App Store or Google Play in your country and currency at the moment you confirm the purchase; the reference prices published on this site may vary by territory, taxes and exchange rate.

Billing is carried out by Apple or Google through your Apple ID or Google account. We neither receive nor store your payment method details.

6.2 Free trial

Plans may include a free trial period, whose exact length is shown on the purchase screen and in the store. The trial is available once per Apple ID or Google account. If you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription becomes active and the corresponding charge is made.

6.3 Automatic renewal

The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is applied within the 24 hours before the new period starts.

6.4 Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your store settings:

  • iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Walo → Cancel subscription.
  • Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Walo → Cancel.

After cancelling you keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

6.5 Refunds

Refunds are handled exclusively by the store where you purchased, according to its own policies. Request them at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple) or from your Google Play order history. We cannot process refunds directly, though we are happy to point you in the right direction: email support@waloapp.io.

6.6 When Pro ends

If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your transactions, accounts and budgets remain on your device, but the free-plan limits apply again for creating new items and for browsing older history. Resubscribe and everything becomes available once more.

7. Acceptable use

By using Walo you agree not to:

  • Use the app for unlawful or fraudulent activity, or to conceal the origin of funds.
  • Attempt to breach, overload or interfere with the app or the third-party services it relies on.
  • Circumvent free-plan limits or subscription mechanisms by technical means.
  • Use the app in a country subject to an applicable embargo, or if you appear on a restricted-party list.

8. Your data and backups

The information you enter is yours. Because Walo stores your data locally and not on our servers, keeping backups is your responsibility. If you lose, wipe or change devices, or uninstall the app without having backed up, the information cannot be recovered — not even by us, because we never had it.

Walo offers backup to Google Drive and iCloud and export to CSV. We recommend using them regularly. The operation of those services depends on Google and Apple, and we cannot guarantee their availability.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its code, design, interface, copy, iconography, the name "Walo" and its logo are the property of Benjamin Barocio and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.

The data you record remains yours at all times.

10. Service availability

We work to keep Walo running and up to date, but we may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. If we withdraw a significant feature or stop offering the service, we will give reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to export your information.

Some features depend on third-party services (Firebase, Google Drive, iCloud, the App Store, Google Play). If any of them fails or changes its conditions, the corresponding feature may be affected.

11. Warranties and liability

Walo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the app is error-free, that it will run uninterrupted, or that the calculations it displays are suitable for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or financial decisions made on the basis of information shown by the app. Our total liability to you, on any basis, will not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights granted to you by the consumer legislation of your country that cannot be waived.

12. Termination

You may stop using Walo whenever you like: uninstall the app and, if applicable, cancel your subscription in the store. To also delete your account, follow the procedure in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms seriously or repeatedly, or if the law requires us to. In that case we will notify you by email, unless legally prevented from doing so.

13. App stores

If you downloaded Walo from the App Store, the following conditions required by Apple also apply:

  • This agreement is concluded between you and Benjamin Barocio only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • The licence is limited to using Walo on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules of the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish maintenance or support services for Walo.
  • If Walo fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price if applicable. Apart from that, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory compliance or consumer protection claims.
  • In the event of a third-party intellectual property infringement claim, Benjamin Barocio is solely responsible for its defence and resolution.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any restricted-party list.

If you downloaded Walo from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service additionally apply.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app's features, the subscription model or applicable regulations change. The current version is always published here with its date. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Walo after that date means you accept the new version.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León, waiving any other jurisdiction that might apply, without prejudice to the rights granted to you by the consumer legislation of your country of residence.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, your subscription or privacy? Email info@waloapp.io and we will get back to you.
